AHNO welcomes conversations about institutional funding, consortium partnerships, and multi-sector programming across our priority areas — humanitarian assistance, health and nutrition, education, agriculture and irrigation, food security and livelihoods, social services, WASH and shelter, and third-party monitoring and research.
Community consultations, feedback and complaints, and coordination with local, district and provincial stakeholders are welcomed through AHNO's field teams and dedicated community focal points.
AHNO implements integrated humanitarian and development programs across Afghanistan, focusing on priority areas including humanitarian assistance, health and nutrition, education, agriculture and irrigation, food security and livelihoods, social services, WASH and shelter, and third-party monitoring and research.
All interventions are designed with a strong community engagement approach, ensuring participation, ownership, and accountability of affected populations. Cross-cutting themes of gender equality, protection, and inclusion are mainstreamed across all programs, promoting women's leadership, safeguarding vulnerable groups, and including persons with disabilities. AHNO works closely with UN agencies, international NGOs, donors, and local stakeholders, leveraging strong local access, proven community-based implementation, flexible programming, and experienced national staff to deliver context-responsive, accountable, and sustainable interventions that meet the evolving needs of Afghan communities.
